In industrial production, equipment such as chutes, pipes and hoppers is subjected to daily impacts from materials and prolonged friction, leading to wear and damage within a short period. Ensuring that this equipment is more durable, requires less maintenance and saves significant costs has always been a top priority for factories.
Alumina ceramics are exceptionally hard and offer outstanding resistance to wear and impact, making them the ideal choice for wear-resistant linings in such equipment.
With over a decade of experience in the wear-resistant protection industry, we specialise in high-purity alumina ceramic wear-resistant products. We provide one-stop solutions for wear and abrasion protection to factories in sectors such as mining, cement production, power generation and steel manufacturing. By providing robust protection for production equipment and extending its service life, we help businesses save money and improve efficiency in a tangible way.
Alumina ceramics are wear-resistant ceramics made primarily from aluminium oxide. Their exceptional wear resistance is entirely due to their unique internal crystal structure. After being fired at a temperature of 1,700 degrees Celsius, the material becomes exceptionally hard, with a hardness far exceeding that of ordinary steel. Practical testing clearly demonstrates its wear resistance: it is 266 times more wear-resistant than manganese steel and 171.5 times more so than high-chromium cast iron. Whether subjected to high-speed material impact, prolonged friction or environments involving acid and alkali corrosion, it withstands the strain with ease. However, no matter how excellent the raw materials may be, the true test of a manufacturer’s expertise lies in their ability to install the components securely and efficiently within the equipment.
We have developed a variety of Alumina ceramic products tailored to different working environments in factories, combining hardness and impact resistance with ease of installation.
Specifically designed to withstand heavy-duty impacts from large materials. In locations such as mining chutes and hoppers, where materials fall from great heights and are of substantial size, pure ceramic linings—though wear-resistant—are prone to shattering upon impact. Our Steel Rubber Ceramic Composite Wear Plate provides the perfect solution to this problem by firmly bonding wear-resistant ceramic, a cushioning rubber layer and a steel base plate together through high-temperature vulcanisation. The central rubber layer absorbs the force of material impact, preventing the ceramic from cracking, whilst the steel base can be directly welded or bolted in place, ensuring it remains secure even under constant vibration. When used in coal conveyors at power stations or heavy-duty hoppers in mines, its service life is several times longer than that of standard metal liners.
Suitable for all types of irregularly shaped equipment, including pipe bends, small-diameter pipes and the inner walls of various irregularly shaped equipment. Where large-sized lining plates cannot be fitted, compact ceramic tiles and specialised pipe bricks are used. These can be freely assembled to fit the inner walls of equipment, providing precise protection for areas such as pipe bends that are highly susceptible to wear-through. Secured using a combination of adhesive bonding and welding, they are used inside pulverised coal pipelines, desulphurisation pipelines and cement plant equipment, and will not detach or shift even after long-term use.
Clean and durable powder processing. In addition to wear-resistant linings for equipment, we also manufacture ceramic grinding balls. Traditionally, metal balls were used for grinding powders, which not only posed safety risks due to the generation of sparks but also introduced iron filings that contaminated the raw materials. These Alumina Ceramic Balls are robust and wear-resistant, as well as being electrically insulating and explosion-proof, and do not introduce impurities. They are particularly suitable for grinding high-end coatings, building materials and white cement.
We do not merely sell wear-resistant products; we also design comprehensive, tailor-made wear-resistance solutions for you—which is why so many major manufacturers have chosen to partner with us long-term. Whether for standard conveyor chutes, hydrocyclones or precision grinding equipment, wear-resistant aluminium oxide ceramics are gradually replacing traditional steel as the most reliable material for industrial wear protection.
Shandong Qishuai Wear-Resistant has been deeply rooted in the wear-resistant industry for many years.
