Raw material screening: Choose high quality carbon steel or low-alloy steel as the hardfacing overlay pipe base material, the chemical composition and mechanical performance of carbon steel and low alloy steel meet the requirements. Meanwhile, the high purity chromium carbide alloy powder is chosen to make the subsequent overlay welds have a good performance. The raw materials have been inspected and qualified times are permitted to the next production link.

Surface pretreatment: The surface of the substrate pipe is shot blasting and sandblasting for cleaning the rust and oil contamination on the surface. According to the requirement, we could obtain certain roughness on the surface.

Overlay Welding Process Implementation: By using automated overlay welding equipments, we could apply efficient automated submerged arc overlay welding process or gas-shielded overlay welding process. During the overlay process, we strictly control the welding current, voltage and welding speed by the automatic control system. It could control the chromium carbide alloy overlay on the inner wall of the base pipe welding component uniformly and dense. It would form a wear-resistant layer on the inner wall of the base pipe and the automatic control system could guarantee the uniformity of the overlay welding layer and the stability of the performance.

Heat Treatment Process: After surfacing, we could apply certain kinds of heat treatment process on the pipeline according to the requirement. It could remove the stress on the surfacing layer. It could improve the microstructure and properties of the surfacing layer and enhance the hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the surfacing layer.

Dimension Machining and Straightening: According to the requirement of the customer, we could apply precise dimension machining on the overlay-welded pipe. It could guarantee the accuracy of the pipe inner diameter and pipe wall thickness.Concurrently, straightening processes are applied to guarantee that the pipes' straightness and roundness meet established standards.
